Police: Teen Who Crashed Into Family Of 5 High On Pot

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police say a teenager was under the influence of marijuana when he crashed into a van carrying a family of five.

Police say 19-year-old Travis Panezich and a friend had been smoking pot prior to the accident.

Police say they also found marijuana in Panezich's car. Police say he didn't stop at a stop sign in Bessemer, Lawrence County and crashed into the driver's side of a van.

Chad and Courtney Hillard and their three daughters, of New Castle, were inside the van.

They are recovering from their injuries.
