SWISSVALE (KDKA) — The man accused in the fatal shooting of his ex-wife’s boyfriend last month in Swissvale was taken into custody by U.S. Border Patrol agents while trying to cross the United States-Mexico border in Texas.

Authorities say University of Texas-Brownsville Campus Police spotted Edick’s vehicle in a school parking lot around 3 a.m.
Edick led campus police on a foot chase.

Police say Edick is accused of breaking into his ex-wife’s apartment in Swissvale on Aug. 31, and fatally shooting her live-in boyfriend, 27-year-old Ryan Beal.
He was found at the bottom of a staircase.
The U.S. Marshals’ Office says investigators found a revolver after arresting Edick.
