Woman Burned Mixing Pool Chemicals

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Doctors are treating a woman tonight after a chemical accident in the city's Overbrook neighborhood.

It happened in the 2000-block of Walton Avenue around 7:30 p.m.

The homeowner was mixing pool chemicals inside the house when some of the substance splashed into her face.

She ran out of the home and neighbors tried to help by splashing water on her face.

Paramedics later rushed her to the hospital.

Her injuries are not severe.

Firefighters spent the night ventilating the home.
