Teen Hits Other Teen With Chair After Being Teased

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A teen was taken to the hospital after getting hit with a chair by another teen at school.

According to the police report, the 16-year-old was teasing another 16-year-old student at the Career Connections Charter School.

The teen being teased then allegedly picked up a chair and hit the first teen over the head. A teacher nearby also witnessed the incident.

The teen who was hit was taken to Children's Hospital with a laceration under his eye.

The other teen was taken to the principal's office, where he told school officials the other boy had been teasing him for weeks. He continued to say that Monday's incident started when the other teen pulled a chair out from under him, which he then picked up and used to hit the other boy.

Both parents are expected to meet with school officials before the possibility of any charges.

A school official says administrators are still "in the process of fact finding to determine exactly what took place."
