Pirates Happy To Be Back Home For Games 3 & 4

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Pirates arrived home Friday night after taking Game 2 of their playoff series in St. Louis.

It was a much different ball game than the one we saw on Thursday, and both players and fans hope to keep that momentum going into Game 3.

The Buctober bus, it arrived at PNC Park Friday just after 8 p.m. following a solid win against the St. Louis Cardinals that tied the National League Division Series at one game apiece.

For team manager Clint Hurdle, there's no place like home.

"It's great to be back home. We're excited," he said. "We're going to be real excited come Sunday afternoon when we get to play in front of these great fans again."

And for Pittsburgh native Neil Walker, playing in a playoff series in Pittsburgh is pretty incredible.

"We like playing here obviously, and we know the crowd's going to be behind us, so it's going to be a big week," Walker, the Pirates' second baseman, said.

Meanwhile, for life-long fans like the Grebaldos, of Connellsville, the playoff series is almost too much emotion for them.

"We've been fans for many, many years and have stuck by them through the bad times and the good times," said Carolyn Grebaldo.

"It's emotional for us," added Diane Grebaldo. "My dad's followed the Bucs… I used to listen to them with the radio."
