Pirates Fans Still Hopeful For Game 5 Win

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Despite fans' enthusiasm Monday, the Pirates fell to the Cardinals in NLDS Game 4.

There were many sad faces leaving PNC Park Monday evening.

"We're disappointed, very disappointed," said one fan. "They tried so hard, but just couldn't pull it off."

But although fans were disappointed, many still are hopeful that the Pirates will take the win in Game 5 Wednesday.

"I think they can do it … we believe," said fan Vivian McCann of Findlay.

"One more game, that's all it takes," said another fan. "So we're there, we're there, we're in a place to do something fantastic – great."

Some fans were also happy to hear that Gerrit Cole would be back in St. Louis.

"Very happy to hear that Cole would be the announced pitcher," said Benji Najcinski of the South Side. "We think (AJ) Burnett should be ready to go just in case Cole gets a little shaky."
