Police Look For Female Seen Attacking Teen During Fight

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh Police late Tuesday released video of a violent street fight on Lorenz Avenue, in the city's Elliott neighborhood.

The melee took place around 4 p.m. Oct. 10.

Police say they want to know the name of the adult woman who kicks a 15-year-old in the head repeatedly, while the girl is lying on the road, being beaten by two other juveniles with a lock attached to some sort of a rope or chain.

Eric Menifield, who lives a block from where the fight took place saw the video on TV tonight, he said "It was horrible, to jump on a 15-year-old girl like that, and especially for an adult to be involved in it."

Police describe the adult attacker as black, wearing a white top, black jeans and brown boots.

A woman who witnessed the fight that afternoon told KDKA-TV's Ralph Iannotti Tuesday night, "There was a crossing guard out there, adults from a day care, and even from the bar, people were outside, letting this grown lady and these kids continue to fight. And, they did nothing, there was one white man, in a white truck who tried to be a good Samaritan and break up the fight, and that was it."

Police say they know the identities of the juveniles involved in the fray, but, not the adult -- and detectives at the Zone 6 station would like to hear from anyone who recognizes the woman.

The fight may have been prompted by something that appeared on Facebook, according to one source.

Anyone with information is asked to call Zone 6 detectives at 412-937-3095.
