Police: Hospital Worker Stabbed In Neck By Man Denied Pain Meds

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A Sharon hospital employee was stabbed in the neck Sunday afternoon by a man who couldn't get pain medication.

Police say 30-year-old Justin Michael Delfratte of Sharpsville went to the Sharon Regional Health System emergency room around 2:23 p.m. for an unknown ailment.

When Delfratte was offered non-narcotic pain medication, police say he became disgruntled. He then paced back and forth before stabbing a hospital employee in the neck, according to police.

Security officer then stopped him and Delfratte was later arrested by police.

The victim's condition is unknown.
