Steelers G David DeCastro Discusses Performance VS. Suh & Lions

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)-Pittsburgh Steelers guard David DeCastro joined The Fan Morning Show for his regular weekly segment, but once again this time the guys are joined by Larry Foote

Larry wasted no time getting to the hard hitting questions about his play against Ndamukong Suh. DeCastro said that he will let us decide, but thought he played well only allowing Suh to register a tackle.

He helped keep Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger clean all day.

His play against both Suh and Geno Atkins this year has Larry wondering if it was good enough to earn a Pro Bowl spot.

"I don't care about stuff like that," DeCastro said "I only care about winning games."

But, when pressed, he finally did respond.

"Of course I do," DeCastro said. "You always want to be in the Pro Bowl."

DeCastro says despite having a good day on Sunday, it's never perfect. For an offensive lineman there is always something to work on, but he felt it was something to be happy about.

"It was pretty clean," DeCastro added. "It was a good football matchup."

He said every week in the NFL is a test. They have another one with two beasts up front on the Browns' defensive line.

Could the Steelers still be a playoff contender? Can the Steelers stay focused and still keep winning?

"When you start the season like we did, it keeps you focused." DeCastro said. "We are just trying to win one game at a time."
