Officials Investigate McKees Rocks Fire

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The man living in a McKees Rocks home that caught fire Thanksgiving night is still unaccounted for this morning.

The two-story house in the 700-block of Bouquet Street in McKees Rocks was destroyed in the two-alarm fire Thursday night.

Allegheny County Police and the Fire Marshal are investigating the cause of the smoky blaze, which was fully involved when firefighters arrived on the scene.

KDKA's Christine D'Antonio Reports:

Firefighters went through the home looking for the lone occupant after the the fire was put out, but there was no sign of him.

Police could not confirm a call to 911 that there as a home invasion reported to the structure prior to the fire.

Neighbor Joe Mixter says the man who was burned out lost his job in the past year.

"[He] lived there for about six years. He was always working, and then last year, he lost his job," said Mixter. "He got injured because he started walking with a cane. He had a rough year."
