What's New Dr. Frank: Finding The Right Tablet

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) -- How do you know what to look for when searching for a tablet this holiday season? Does price equal quality?

Dr. Frank Viggiano joined KDKA Radio's Larry Richert to give his expert opinion on what tablets to get if you have some money to spend and even if you don't what good ones are out there for a modest price.

Dr. Frank says tablets are one of the hottest items this year and may be even the number one electronic product out there.

He says there are some deals out there with prices "as low as $49 for a seven-inch tablet." It just depends on what is left when you get to the store.

Dr. Frank says there are some good brand name products and some brands out there that you may not have heard of but are still high quality.

He says if prices are your main priority you should buy the tablet that matches your needs. Dr. Frank says if price was not an issue he would buy "the new iPad air or iPad mini." If price was an issue he says, "I would purchase the Nexus 7."

Dr. Frank adds when buying a tablet it is important to consider "the features, the screen, the resolution of the screen, what you can do with it, the processor, [and] the battery life."

One thing he says that people should do is, "put it in your hands and test drive it. Go to the stores. Don't by the first thing you see."
