Car Flips Onto Roof In Mercer County Accident

LEESBURG (KDKA) -- An accident in Mercer County sent a man to the hospital early this morning.

The one-vehicle crash happened around 7:30 a.m. on Route 208 at the intersection of Route 19 in Leesburg.

According to the fire chief, a man was driving to work when he hit a patch of ice going around a bend.

The vehicle slid, and eventually came to a rest on its roof in the middle of the Route 208.

The driver, who has not been identified but is said to be in his 40s, was not seriously injured in the accident.

But he was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.

State Police in Mercer continue to investigate.
