Wilkening: NFL Should Take Tomlin Incident Seriously

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has drawn national attention for having to jump out of the way of Ravens returner Jacoby Jones at the last second Thanksgiving night. Mike Wilkening of Pro Football Talk told Tab Douglas that it appears that the NFL is taking the situation seriously, as it should.

"You can't have a situation where anybody on the sideline is in a position where a returner has to alter course to sort of get around that person, head coach or not," Wilkening said.

At 5-7, Wilkening said that the Steelers are still in the playoff picture. While every game is important, the Bengals game is critical.

"Three of the next four are at home, which helps them but Cincinnati particularly you don't want to lose that tiebreaker," Wilkening said.
