Saltsburg Man Killed In Indiana Co. Crash

INDIANA, Pa. (KDKA) -- A Saltsburg man was killed in a one-vehicle crash Monday night in Indiana County.

The accident happened just after 9:30 p.m. along Park Drive, also known as Route 286, in Young Township.

The Indiana County Coroner's Office identifies the victim as 37-year-old Peter Cindric, Jr. He was pronounced dead at the scene just before 11 p.m.

The coroner's office reports that he died of blunt force trauma of the head and chest.

According to coroner's office report, Cindric was headed northeast on Park Drive in his PT Cruiser when he lost control, crossed into the other lane and then struck a utility pole.

The vehicle ended up flipping onto its roof.

Investigators say he was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected through the sunroof.

State police from the Indiana barracks are investigating the accident.
