Famed Forensic Expert Dr. Cyril Wecht Jokingly Analyzes Tomlin's Foot Fumble

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Today the NFL officially announced that Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin will be fined $100,000 for his "foot-fumble" during the Steelers-Ravens game.

KDKA-TV recently released new footage from a different angle of Tomlin side-stepping in to the field of play. His foot is standing just barely over the line, but it's in play none the less.

The NFL has decided that his actions have earned him a $100,000 fine and they continue to debate if the Steelers should be penalized with a draft pick.

In a tongue in cheek interview, world-renowned, famed forensic pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht commented that these videos need further analysis. He jokingly said that there are even tests Tomlin should undergo before we can come to a clear and concise conclusion of what really was happening.

"Tomlin should be made to take three separate polygraph tests with three different examiners, number one," said Wecht. "Number two, I think a thorough investigation should be undertaken to ascertain whether or not he has any kind of bias."

Dr. Wecht is best known for his criticism of the Warren Commission's findings concerning the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The Zapruder film caused a lot of controversy, and now this new angle has Yinzers scratching their heads on what he was really doing.

"Tomlin should be made to undergo thorough examination by the appropriate orthopedic surgeons to determine the degree of dexterity so you can simulate in experimental fashion what kind of movement a man of his age, a former athlete, can make," said Dr. Wecht. "He suffers from some degree of hypertrophy-degenerative arthritis, undoubtedly from repeated trauma to his knee and hip and ankle through the years he played."
