Medicaid Alternative Proposal
Critics are taking aim at Gov. Tom Corbett's plan to bring billions of federal health care dollars into Pennsylvania.
The 100-page proposal was unveiled this morning.
Under the Affordable Care Act, the federal government promises to foot most of the bill for any state that expands Medicaid to cover more low-income adults.
But the governor wants to instead use the money to help poorer people buy private insurance.
This will be a long process.
There will be six public hearings, including one here in Pittsburgh, before the proposal is submitted in February.
