3 Convicted Of Murder In SRU Student's Shooting Death

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The three people on trial for the murder of a Slippery Rock University student last year have all been convicted of murder.

Jon Lee and Brandon Lind were both convicted of third degree murder, while Devele Reid was convicted of second degree murder.

All three also face additional convictions, including criminal conspiracy and robbery.

A jury convicted the trio for the June 2012 murder of SRU student 20-year-old Jordan Coyner.

Lee is accused of coming up with the scheme to kill Coyner.

Police said marijuana was at the core of the murder, saying Lee had the idea to rob Coyner, who they say sold marijuana.
