ESPN's McMurphy: PSU To Interview Al Golden

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- According to a report from ESPN.com's Brett McMurphy, Penn State will interview Miami coach Al Golden on Saturday.

CBS Sports reports the interview had originally been planned for Friday, but was canceled after the East Coast got hit with some bad weather.

Golden played at Penn State from 1987-1991 and had a successful stint as the head coach at Temple before taking over Miami in 2011. Golden is 22-15 as the head coach of the Hurricanes.

Former Penn State player Mike Munchak is also considered a top candidate for the job, and he became available when the NFL's Tennessee Titans fired him as their head coach on Saturday, according to CBS Sports.

Vanderbilt's James Franklin is also considered a strong candidate.
