Ian Rapoport: Changes To Offense Helped Both Roethlisberger & Haley

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- National Insider for NFL Network and NFL.com Ian Rapoport joined The Fan Morning Show on Monday to talk about his report that Steelers' Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley will be back next season, and to offer his thoughts on a number of stories pertaining to the team and the NFL at large.

Rapoport thinks the changes that have been made since his original report (especially when it comes to the implementation of the no-huddle offense) likely contributed to the improvement in Ben Roethlisberger's mood and Todd Haley's job security.

He thinks that Bears quarterback Jay Cutler's new contract totally destroys the free agent quarterback market for next year, and he offered his thoughts on how that might impact the Steelers' negotiations with Roethlisberger. He sees the two sides working on a new contract as the next big hurdle for the Steelers.

Also, he expects Ryan Clark to garner some interest in free agency, but doesn't think Clark will be a fit for the Steelers.

You can see Rapoport this week on NFL GameDay Morning Saturday at noon and Sunday at 9 a.m., and throughout the week on NFL Network's Around the League Live, Around the League Primetime and NFL Total Access.
