Fayette Co. Pastor Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Girl

FAYETTE COUNTY (KDKA) – A local church pastor has been charged with molesting a young member of his congregation.

Ray Teets, 66, is the pastor at Fallen Timbers Community Chapel in Fayette County.

The alleged victim is an 11-year-old girl.

He faces a long list of charges, including indecent sexual contact with a child, unlawful restraint, corruption of minors and luring a child.

The girl attended the church with her mother and mother's fiancé.

Police say her family left the church last November after her mother says Teets became fixated with her daughter and exhibited strange behavior.

She says Teets would meet with her daughter without her knowledge – and videotaped an interaction between the two one time, taking the video to police.

During an interview with investigators, the girl said she would meet Teets behind a shed at her house and sometimes would go inside a shed where he would touch and fondle her.

The criminal complaint also says the Teets told the girl he wanted to have sex with her.

Teets is currently in the Fayette County Prison on $250,000 bond.

This isn't Teets first run-in with the law. Back in 1996, in Maryland, he was convicted of sexually abusing a child.
