Taillon: Would Like To Learn From Burnett

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- Pitchers and catchers will report to spring training later this month.

One of the Pirates that a lot of fans will follow is pitching prospect Jameson Taillon. Bob Pompeani asked Taillon if he would like the opportunity to learn from A.J. Burnett, if Burnett returns to the club.

"Yeah, no doubt. I think A.J.'s played like 15 years in the big leagues, which is every guy's dream, so there's not really a better guy to learn from him," Taillon said. "He's been through it all, he's got a World Series ring, he's hit every level of a career and there's no doubt he's got some invaluable experience."

Pompeani asked Taillon what one thing that he would like to work on before he arrives in Pittsburgh.

"I would probably say right now the biggest thing is consistency," Taillon said. "I feel like I've got the pitch package I can make be successful, but the biggest thing about big leaguers is that they're good day in and day out."
