Suspect Arrested After Shooting Incident In Butler County

BUTLER (KDKA) -- One person is in police custody after a shooting incident during an alleged drug deal in Butler County Saturday afternoon.

Butler City Police say the incident happened just after 3:30 p.m. in the 200-block of McLean Avenue.

The suspect, 19-year-old Brandon Fairtrace, is facing a long list of charges including aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, shooting into an occupied structure, conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and firearms violations.

According to police, witnesses at the scene said several shots were fired at a man and a vehicle, described as a black Saturn SUV.

Police say at least two shots were fired, and it all started as an alleged drug deal.

Fairtrace was arrested not far from the scene and the gun was also found nearby.

There's no word if the man who was fired at or a second man in the SUV were injured in the gunfire.

Police say the SUV may have bullet holes in the drivers side or rear.

The investigation continues.
