Steelers Agree To Contract With Free Agent Running Back LeGarrette Blount

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The Steelers have brought several free agent running backs in for a visit this off-season, and have finally reached an agreement with one of them.

Former New England Patriot and Tampa Bay Buccaneer running back LeGarrette Blount came in for a visit with the Steelers today and signed a two-year deal with the team to backup starting running back Le'Veon Bell.

NFL Writer for The National Football Post Aaron Wilson was the first to report the deal.

The 27-year-old running back rushed for 772 yards last year on 153 attempts and 7 touchdowns after coming to the Patriots from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Blount's breakout game though came in the playoffs when he rushed for 166 yards and 4 touchdowns in the playoffs against the Colts.
