Officers Shoot, Kill High-Speed Chase Suspect In Wilkinsburg

WILKINSBURG (KDKA) - A high-speed chase suspect was shot and killed by police in Wilkinsburg early Monday morning.

According to police, the chase started at the intersection of Hamilton and Fifth Avenues around 3:20 a.m.

Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the suspect took off at a high-rate of speed along Penn Avenue.

Shortly after, the suspect, 29-year-old Adrian Williams,  crashed at the intersection of Penn and Trenton Avenues.

At that time, Williams got out of the vehicle and tried to flee on foot while allegedly armed with a hand gun.

Officers told Williams to drop the weapon several times, but he refused.

Williams allegedly turned, faced officers with the weapon still in hand and that's when police opened fire.
