Walk On Wednesday: How Can Volquez Keep This Up?

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Pirates broadcaster Bob Walk joined "The Fan Morning Show" for in his regular weekly "Walk on Wednesday" spot this morning. During the interview, he discussed the surprising success of Edinson Volquez.

Walk cited one major area of success for Volquez that should dictate whether or not he keeps it up in the weeks and months to come.

"As long as he keeps showing the command that he has, then I don't see why he can't continue for the whole season," Walk said.

Walk also said that, even though Ike Davis might cool off a bit after a hot start to his Pirates' career, it's tough to see that deal ending up being a bad one for the Bucs.

"There's no way that you can come up with anything negative, I think, about this trade," Walk said.

Walk joins "The Fan Morning Show" every Wednesday at 8:40 a.m.
