SWAT Situation Ends Peacefully At Bethel Park Home

BETHEL PARK (KDKA) -- Police and the SWAT team were called to Bethel Park Wednesday evening where a man barricaded himself inside of a home.

The incident was first reported around 8:30 p.m. in the 5500-block of Clarene Drive.

Police say it ended peacefully just before 11 p.m.

According to police at the scene, the 24-year-old man reportedly threatened to harm himself.

The man lives in the home with his parents, but no one else was in the home when he barricaded himself inside.

Negotiators were also called to the scene to communicate with the man.
