HILL DISTRICT (KDKA)- A man is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed in the Hill District late Monday night.

According to police, the incident happened in the 1700-block of Bedford Avenue in the Crawford-Roberts neighborhood around 11 p.m.

The victim was stabbed in the hand after getting into an argument with another man.

Family members of the victim’s girlfriend showed up at his house angry at him for, “messing with their mother.”

They allegedly attacked him with a knife before stealing his wallet and cell phone.

Robbery detectives will handle that part of the investigation.

The victim was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where he was last listed in stable condition Tuesday morning.

So far, no charges have been filed.
