Report: James Harrison, Santonio Holmes Want To Rejoin Steelers

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The Steelers don't have much room left under the salary cap and crossed off most of their free agency wish list. However, according to Ike Taylor, there are two former Steelers that want to come back.

According to Scott Brown of ESPN.com, Taylor said former Steelers James Harrison and Santonio Holmes want to come back to the team.  Brown points out that if anyone would know where Harrison and Holmes hope to land, it would be Taylor because he has worked out with each  of the ex-Steelers during the offseason.

The Steelers haven't shown much interest in either player as they signed Jason Worilds to the transition tag and drafted Ryan Shazier to solidify their linebacker corp. They also went out and signed wide receivers Lance Moore and Darrius Heyward-Bey while drafting Martavis Bryant in the fourth round.

While it remains unlikely either player signs with the Steelers, it is worth noting that Ike thinks Harrison is in the best shape of his life.

Speaking of ex-Steelers, safety Ryan Clark talked with Bob Pompeani and gave his final farewell to fans saying, "I leave with knowing you guys are amazing fans in an amazing city and one of the best organizations in sports and I'm just grateful. A little kid from Louisiana, that no one wanted to draft, got to come in and be a part of something so great."
