PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Firefighters were called out to a home in New Castle overnight.

Crews found heavy smoke and flames pouring out of a duplex on East Wallace Avenue.

The fire started in the kitchen in the lower unit and quickly spread.

Crews got the fire under control quickly and everyone got out safely.

Firefighters let the residents sit in some of the emergency vehicles on scene to keep warm.
