Cooking Corner: Summer Grilled Desserts
On this week's Cooking Corner, Market District Chef Ben D'Amico is thinking summer with some tasty recipes for grilled desserts!
Summer "Grilled" Desserts
Compliments of Market District Chef Benjamin D'Amico

Grilled "Elvis" Bananas
1 each Banana
2 tbsp Peanut Butter, creamy
6 each Honey Roasted Peanuts
1 tbsp Honey, drizzled
5 pieces Dehydrated or Dried Banana Chips
1 scoop Vanilla Ice Cream
4 pieces Nilla Wafer
Salted Caramel Grilled Donuts
1 each Grilled donut, sliced in half
2 tbsp Caramel Sauce
6 pieces Candied Pecans
6 pieces Caramel Popcorn
1 scoop Salted Caramel Ice Cream
1 tbsp Cinnamon Mini Chips
½ tsp Sea Salt
1 sprig Mint, fresh
S'mores
1 each Giant Marshmallow, Toasted or skewer
1 tbsp Chocolate Shavings
2 tbsp Chocolate Syrup/Sauce
1 each Graham Cracker, cracked
2 each Brownie Brittle, crushed
Hazelnut Stuffed Crossiants
3 tbsp Market District Hazelnut Spread
6 berries Blackberries
5 pieces Hazelnuts, crushed
2 pieces Dark Chocolate Pretzel Bark
1 tbsp Chocolate Syrup/Sauce
1 each Crossiants
1 sprig Mint, fresh
Raspberry Lime "Cheese Cake"
2 slices Pound Cake, sliced
3 tbsp Lime infused Cream Cheese (whipped cream cheese, honey & lime juice)
2 tbsp Grahm Cracker Crumbs
4 each Raspberries, fresh
1 scoop Raspberry Ice Cream
2 tbsp Coconut Shavings
½ each Grilled Lemon
2 tbsp White Chocolate Sauce
Directions for Grilling Fruit:
Peaches, plums, apricots, nectarines, bananas, pineapple, watermelon, etc.
1. Preheat either a grill or a grill pan.
2. Dip the fruit in a small flat bowl of granulated sugar.
3. Place the fruit face side down onto a hot grill or grill pan for 2-3 minutes.
Directions for Grilling Pastries/Breads:
1. Preheat either a grill or a grill pan.
2. Brush the pastry/bread with a small amount of butter or pan spray.
3. Place the bread presentation side down onto a hot grill or grill pan for 1-2 minutes or until grill marks appear.
