Couple That Met In Giant Eagle Returns To Store On Wedding Day

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Giant Eagle might be the place to find groceries, but for one couple, it's also where they found love.

And to commemorate that, the couple was back at the Pine Shopping Center Market District in Wexford Saturday – which also happened to be their wedding day.

Ian Menego and Brooke Baxendell met four-and-a-half years ago at that same store while working together in the deli section.

So that's exactly where the couple decided to take some wedding photos.

The bride, groom and wedding party marched through the store and had an impromptu photo shoot with a backdrop of turkey, ham and everything else needed to make a tasty sandwich.

The couple worked there in the summers when they were home from school, which eventually led to their nuptials.

"I was very excited when he asked," Baxendell said.

And what's next for the couple?

They plan to honeymoon in London next year – maybe they'll even check out a deli or two.
