HOMEWOOD (KDKA) – A shooting in Homewood left one man dead early Sunday morning.

According to police, the shooting happened near the intersection of Brushton Avenue and Race Street around 1:14 a.m.

When police arrived, they found a man face down in a grassy area in the 1000-block of Brushton Avenue.

The initial call to 911 indicated about six shots were fired and that three males ran into a nearby park.

The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:29 a.m.
