Pirates: Cheese Chester Out 6-8 Weeks With Broken Foot
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - One of the Pittsburgh Pirates' prized pierogi racers has been sidelined by an injury.
Cheese Chester was about to win last night's race in an overwhelming fashion, when he went down awkwardly.
In visible agony, he immediately reached for his foot. Unable to stand on his own, he was gingerly carried off the field.
The crowd fell into a stunned silence as he was being tended to.
However, Cheese Chester put everyone's minds at ease with a simple thumbs-up gesture.
The Pirates announced he will be out 6-8 weeks with a broken foot on Twitter.
