PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man and woman have been arrested after a string of purse snatchings in Westmoreland County.

Police say since the end of July there have been at least four instances where suspects attempted to take purses from women in Hempfield Township.

Autumn Walsh, 32 and Jason Price, 38 have been arrested in connection with the robberies.

In three instances, police say a man was successful at stealing women’s purses. A woman was unsuccessful at taking a purse a fourth time they say.

In one case, a victim was injured while trying to fight off the suspect and required medical attention.

Walsh and Price have been charged on multiple accounts, including robbery, assault and criminal conspiracy.

Police say there may be other arrests as well.
