PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA)- Mayor Bill Peduto and Allegheny County Chief Executive Rich Fitzgerald joined Marty Griffin in studio on NewsRadio 1020 KDKA's monthly "Ask the Leaders."

"Ask the Leaders" gives listeners an opportunity to ask questions and voice concerns about the community to Pittsburgh's top officials.

Marty led off with asking Mayor Peduto about the hiring of the new police chief, Cameron McLay.

"On paper, he was one of the best candidates, and after the interview, it was obvious that this was the guy Pittsburgh needed," Peduto said.

The mayor went on to say McLay understands the job and will be hands-on.
