FALLOWFIELD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — Firefighters came to the rescue when a donkey became trapped in a mud pit Wednesday in Washington County.

It all happened around 4 p.m. at a farm just off of Debnar Lane in Fallowfield Township.

Crews arrived at the scene to find Jubilee the donkey trapped in some deep mud.

They used ropes to pull the animal free.

The donkey didn’t appear to be injured, but the farm’s veterinarian was called in as a precaution.

Jubilee was then reunited with his owner.
