Pittsburgh Comedy Icon Jim Krenn Joins 'KDKA Morning News'

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Pittsburgh's own Jim Krenn is joining the 'KDKA Morning News' with Larry Richert and John Shumway.

Krenn will co-host every Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and will make his debut this week at the 31st annual KDKA Spaghetti Breakfast at the Heinz Hall Garden plaza Downtown.

Krenn, who has spent almost 25 years on Pittsburgh radio, is excited to give his humorous and unique take on events with KDKA listeners.
Krenn also will continue to star in his podcast: "Jim Krenn: No Restrictions" and play to sold out shows around the area.

"This is a great opportunity to re-connect with a lot of the radio listeners that I had the privilege of talking to for many years, and being heard via the iconic KDKA makes this even more special to me," says Krenn.

Krenn joined the "KDKA morning News" Thursday to preview his official debut at the 31st annual KDKA Spaghetti Breakfast. He told Larry and John he was on treadmill getting ready for the spaghetti. He plans on eating "ten bowls at least."

He said he has been getting a lot of congratulations on joining the show.

"People [are] amazing. I got more congratulations than when I got married," he said.

Even Krenn's mother told him being on KDKA is a big deal.

"My mom's reaction this was bigger than if I got [to be on] Letterman," he said.
