Firefighters Battle Wilkinsburg Blaze
WILKINSBURG (KDKA) – Firefighters battled a one-alarm house fire in Wilkinsburg.
It broke out at a home in the 1600-block of Maplewood Avenue around 1 p.m. Friday.
It's unclear how the fire started.
One adult and one child were able to safely escape from the home.
However, a firefighter was shocked by a live power line and was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition.
The Red Cross is assisting the family.
