Bullets Riddle House Of Allenport Shooting Suspect's Mom

ALLENPORT (KDKA) -- A Washington County woman's home was riddled with bullets early Saturday, just days after police say her son shot and killed his estranged wife before turning the gun on himself.

Ryan Foster is accused in the fatal shooting of his ex-wife, 51-year-old Jeanne Bennati, in Allenport on Tuesday night.

Foster was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in his car the next morning.

Now, neighbors of Foster's mother say they heard at least eight rounds fired after 2 a.m. Saturday.

Six of the shots hit the house; another two hit a neighbor's truck.

Bullet holes can be seen in the siding of the home.

One neighbor who didn't want to be identified said, "She's fine, she's just scared. I know one bullet hit her mirror in her bedroom."

Neighbors say the State Police forensics unit collected shell casings found just one street up.

On Saturday afternoon, troopers couldn't provide further details.

It's unclear if the tragic events earlier this week prompted the house to be shot at, but neighbors say they have already made up their minds.

KDKA's Christine D'Antonio: "It's specifically targeted? And why do you feel that way?"

"Because a bunch of people hated Ryan," said the neighbor who did not want to be identified. "But I don't see why they would go after his mother; she had nothing to do with anything."
