Car Slams Through Front Door Of Monroeville Business

MONROEVILLE (KDKA)- Monroeville Police say a 70-year-old woman was at fault when she drove into a business Tuesday night.

According to police, the crash happened just before 7 p.m. last night in the 4000-block of Monroeville Boulevard.

A car crashed through the front glass doors of "Brows 'R' Us," a business specializing in eyebrow threading, waxing and henna tattoos.

Police haven't said what caused her to lose control and they haven't released her name.

Elaine Longo who owns an alteration business in the same building was closing up shop when she heard several screeches and then a crash.

Longo said she ran outside and saw the car into the front doors of the Brows R Us.

"I have no idea how it happened because it looked like they were just going straight across from Labriola's and going straight across the road the whole way because the car wasn't angled it was straight into the building," Longo said.

The front doors of the business were completely smashed-out and the car went a few feet further into the store before coming to a stop.

It appears the driver of the car was taken to the hospital, but there is no word on their condition.
No one inside the store was injured.
