Police Officer Crashes Motorcycle Near South Hills Junction

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police were on the scene of an accident on West Warrington Avenue at the South Hills junction, where a police officer crashed his motorcycle.

It's unclear how the accident happened, but photos from the scene appear to show just the motorcycle at the scene.

Officials said that T cars at the South Hills Junction were halted, and would continue to have some delays throughout the rush hour commute. All Port Authority roadways are now open.

Officials say they think one of the motorcycles may have hit a rail.

The officer was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
