Wheelchair Moto-Cross Athlete Coming To Consol Energy Center

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Aaron "Wheelz" Fotheringham, a wheelchair moto-cross athlete part of the Nitro Circus will be coming to the Consol Energy Center.

"Wheelz" sat down with 93-7 The FAN's Andrew Fillipponi told him about the world tour the Nitro Circus is doing that will be stopping here in Pittsburgh.

"We're doing a world tour and it's just like the craziest action sports show with all the best from every sport like  FMX Skate, BMX,  WCMX on the wheelchair," Fotheringham said. "All the biggest tricks and all these different sports brought together in one show."

Fotheringham went on to tell Andrew how he got his start in the extreme sport.

"I started when I was eight," Fotheringham said.  When asked how you convince your parents to allow you to try something like this at the age of eight, Fotheringham joked, "Just don't let them know!"

You can see Wheelz along with many others when Nitro Circus hits Consol Energy Center on Sunday, May 17.
