PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh has topped lists as one of the best places to live for several years – and it turns out it’s no different for veterans.

Pittsburgh was actually chosen following a study by financial services company USAA.
The study notes Pittsburgh’s many companies that put an emphasis on hiring vets, including Heinz, Alcoa, FedEx, PNC Bank and Wellpoint.

Other factors considered in the study were things like colleges and universities, of which Pittsburgh has many, GI Bill enrollment, job growth and health resources.
State College was also listed as No. 7
