Theodora Polamalu Talks About Difference In Troy On And Off The Field

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Theodora Polamalu joined the Starkey and Muller show to speak about her and Troy's upcoming charity event and also gave a few fun facts about her husband on and off the field.

The Troy and Theodora Polamalu Foundation Fund for American Samoa will be hosting a luau Nov. 14 at 7 p.m., which will also support the Harry Panos Fund for Veterans.

"People are going to be watching a live Polynesian show. We're going to have an Island reggae artist flying in from Hawaii performing. Troy and a lot of his teammates will be there, so it's an opportunity for community to mingle with the team. It's a night for everybody to enjoy each other's company and support our charity and have a really good time dancing and enjoying Polynesian food."

Theodora also commented on Troy in his everyday life. She explained to Starkey and Muller how Troy does not like to watch football.

"We will only watch film of his upcoming opponents," she said.

Theodora shared that even at family Super Bowl parties, she and Troy "will end up just grabbing food that my mom would cook and just go watch a movie on the couch on the top floor. I think Troy is such a competitor that if he's not physically in that game, he can't watch it."

However, Troy's favorite sport to watch is soccer.

"He is a bit obsessive about soccer," she said.

Starkey and Muller also asked some of the tough questions while Theodora was at the station: Does Troy use Head and Shoulders? When was the last time Troy got his hair cut? Those answers are yes and it has been 14 years since Troy's last haircut.

The Polynesian Luau hosted by Troy and Theodora Polamalu's charity is Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. at The Westin.

"Please come! Everybody please come. It's going to be a great even and very fun. We're hoping the whole community comes. We're excited," she said.
