Ravens Linebacker Terrell Suggs Denies Trying To Injure LeGarrette Blount

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - In a vicious hit that looked like it had the intent to injure, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs targeted the knees of Steelers running back LeGarrette Blount on Sunday night and had to explain himself after the game.

As Josh Katzowitz of CBSSports.com writes, Suggs claims he wasn't trying to hurt Blount with the hit you can see video of by following the link.

Katzowitz defends Suggs' play, saying, to him, it looked more like the linebacker was targeting Blount's hip, not his knees.

Suggs said after the game he was just trying to prevent Blount from gaining extra yards while Blount said he didn't know what Suggs was doing and that he has built a reputation as being a dirty player.

You can read more about last night's game and another linebacker who had a big night in James Harrison.  93-7 The FAN's Colin Dunlap writes that Steelers fans should cherish Harrison's final days with the team.
