Get Marty: Woman Fighting Cancer Gets Help Heating Her Home

LEECHBURG (KDKA) -- A Leechburg woman fighting two battles reached out to KDKA-TV and Get Marty.

Just after she learned cancer spread throughout her body, 42-year-old Becky Clark's chimney collapsed and her oil-burning stove shut down.

A friend reached out to KDKA and Marty Griffin, we immediately responded.

"I'm overwhelmed. This restored my faith in human nature," says Clark.

Within a few days, a crew from Tudi Mechanical was at Clark's home assessing the damage.

Late Tuesday, that same crew installed a new furnace and new ventilation.

Tudi Mechanical did the $7,000 job for nothing.

It's all part of the companies "Heat for the Needy Program."

"We know we can't help her battle with cancer. But at least we can keep her warm," says Rich Riva with Tudi Mechanical.

Meantime, Clark is preparing for chemotherapy.

"I will win this fight. I have three children. My children need their mother," says Clark.
