Police Working To Track Down Suspected Con Artist In Beaver Co.

MONACA (KDKA) -- Police in Beaver County are trying to track down a suspected con artist, accused of swindling his friends and an employer out of vehicles, electronics and even food.

Robert Fleming II, 29, allegedly told Lou Henry of Monaca that he was having troubles and needed a place to stay. Henry let him stay at his townhouse, but does he ever regret it now.

Henry says Fleming stole his Harley Davidson motorcycle, his laptop, money from his checking account and even food from his refrigerator.

Henry told KDKA-TV's Ralph Iannotti: "[Fleming] comes off as happy-go-lucky, wants to be your friend, but if you'd give him a minute, he'd stab you in the back."

In Beaver Falls, police are investigating another alleged con by Fleming.

He's accused of taking a truck and trailer from the owner of Visionary Auto, where he's worked for the last four months as a limo driver.

Visionary owner Jim McDanel says after what happened, "it's going to be hard to trust anyone ever again – mom and dad, maybe three or four friends."

He described Fleming as a good employee, never late for work and courteous to customers.

The Beaver County Sheriff has two warrants out for Fleming on charges of probation violations, and theft by deception. The warrants are not related to the motorcycle and truck thefts.

In 2011, police said Fleming stole a truck from an auto dealership in Butler County, but he made a mistake after he let the dealership make a photocopy of his driver's license before taking off in the truck.
