Steelers Insider Ed Bouchette: Dri Archer Could See More Work In Steelers Backfield

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Steelers Insider Ed Bouchette joined the Starkey and Mueller Show in his weekly spot on Thursday at 4 p.m. and talked about how the snaps will be divided in the Steelers backfield after the team cut running back LeGarrette Blount.

When it comes to Le'Veon Bell having to carry the majority of the workload, Bouchette said, "Le'Veon is not concerned, he is as confident as ever, especially after the game in Tennessee. If I was the Steelers, I would be a little worried."

When asked about the backup role, specifically that of rookie Dri Archer, Bouchette said he thinks the Steelers will look to utilize him more.

"I think that they want to see a little bit more of him. He hasn't been given a chance to get in any kind of flow at all," he said.

Bouchette added though that Archer is an option because they may want to take some of the workload off Bell's shoulders.

"I don't know that they want to, I think they're going to have to," Bouchette said. "Unless you're going to give 100 percent (of the plays to Le'Veon), and they may well do that. I just think you're going to see him run a little more."
