Tyler Boyd Earns Weekly ACC Honors
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Pitt's Tyler Boyd has been named the ACC Specialist of the Week after contributing 190 yards on six kick returns in a 32-23 victory over Miami this weekend.
Boyd's contributions in the return game gave the Panthers offense short fields to work with most of the day allowing them to find the endzone on five different occasions.
One of the biggest plays of the game for the Panther came on one of Boyd's big returns of the day when the Hurricanes cut the lead to 21-20. Boyd took the ensuing kickoff 53 yards to the Miami 43, setting up a five-play touchdown drive.
This marks the second straight week Boyd received one of the ACC's weekly awards as he was named the ACC Receiver of the Week after racking up 126 receiving yards and a touchdown on sveen catches.
Boyd now has four weekly ACC awards for his career.
