Wintry Mix Could Cause Slick Spots Across Area

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A wintry mix of precipitation is affecting the area this morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for most of western Pennsylvania, including Pittsburgh, until 2 p.m.

This means there could be slick spots, resulting from freezing rain and sleet.

A Freezing Rain Advisory is in effect until late tonight for all of our ridge counties for icing on roads and sidewalks.

Eventually, we'll transition to all rain in most of southwestern Pennsylvania during the afternoon and evening hours.

Today's high will be 41. As for tonight, there will be an occasional drizzle with a low of 39.

Be careful walking and driving, especially this morning.
